Foreign citizens who meet the requirements may apply for Italian citizenship.
To apply for citizenship, you need to go through the patronato (citizen’s advisory bureau).
First, the patronato prepares all the necessary paperwork.
Then the application is filed with the government commissioner’s office.
After that, the paperwork is forwarded to the registry office in Bressanone.
